Growth is expected in Türkiye's iron and steel sector in 2026.
According to Allianz Trade's latest metals sector report, the gross production volume of the base metals and metal products sector in Türkiye is expected to rise from $182 billion in 2025 to $208 billion in 2026. Iron and steel maintains its position as the largest sub-segment of the sector, with a production volume of $78-89 billion in the 2025-2026 period.
This growth is projected to be supported by domestic mining investments and demand from the construction and automotive sectors — once again highlighting the critical role of mining investments in the sector.
